Department of Public Works

The Hopkinton Department of Public Works is pleased to serve the Community in the following areas:
Household Hazardous Waste Collection
There was an overwhelming turnout for the Town’s Hazardous Waste Collection with more than 500 residents attending the collection. Residents brought everything from oil based paints to fertilizers to propane tanks. Unfortunately, the hazardous waste contractor filled the capacity of their containers and had to end the collection an hour early.

So what are your options if they showed up with your hazardous waste after the collection was closed? There are two options: 1. You can hold onto your hazardous waste until the Town’s next collection which will be next year, or 2. You can bring your hazardous waste to New England Disposal Technologies in Sutton, MA where they will take it for a fee. They can be reached at 866-769-1621 and more information can be found at their website: www.next.org.
