Age And Dementia Friendly Community

HELP HOPKINTON BECOME AN AGE AND DEMENTIA FRIENDLY COMMUNITY

Become a Dementia Friend

Dementia Friends is an international dementia awareness program under the broader umbrella of the age- and dementia-friendly Massachusetts movement. In order to spread awareness, share resources, reduce stigma, and get more people involved, many dementia-friendly community initiatives include Dementia Friends Information Sessions. If you would like to become a Dementia Friend, check your newsletter or contact the Hopkinton Senior Center and we will let you know the dates of our next session.

Attend Age- and Dementia-Friendly Events

As part of the community initiative, the Hopkinton Senior Center will be sponsoring a series of age- and dementia-friendly events including concerts, film screenings, and arts and crafts at the Senior Center and at other local organizations such as the Public Library and the Hopkinton Center for the Arts. Check your newsletter or contact the Hopkinton Senior Center for additional information.

Volunteer with the Initiative

If you feel passionate about helping Hopkinton become an age- and dementia-friendly community and would like to get involved with the initiative in any way, please let us know.  We need volunteers to help at events, work on the 2023 Action Plan, and support many other activities. Any and all community involvement would be appreciated!

Please contact the Senior Center at (508) 497-9730 if you would like more information or to get involved.
